This is a much cheaper way of repairing damaged casings from MBD. A stainless steel stepped 7mm to 6mm oversized stud to repair a damaged crankcase side 6mm thread.
If the thread has gone you could fit a Timesert or helicoil, but these cost money or you need to take it to a machine shop, so here is a simple way to repair the casing.
Tap out the casing to M7 x 1.00mm to the correct depth then loctite and screw the stud into place.
