These are an innovative idea, the Lambretta rear brake cable has a long bolt type end one one end which makes removing your engine so much easier, as you just pull the whole assembly through the top-hat hole in the casing.
You can leave the cable in situ when you take the engine out, saving cutting the cable or trying to re-thread it through the adjuster.
