 Special rear hub/wheel bearing from BGM PRO for Lambretta engines from series 1 to 3.
The special bearing manufactured exclusively for the Lambretta has an integrated oil seal.
There is no need to fit the rear hub seal with the BGM bearing, the high-quality sealing ring (NBR) is already fitted.

The bearing clearance is adapted to the mounting characteristics of Lambretta engines. When fully assembled, it is still sufficiently large without the bearing running too tightly. The high-quality sealing in combination with the precise tolerancing of the bearing clearance creates a solid basis for a very long service life.

 

Fitting:
To mount the bearing, heat the engine casing with a hot air gun and cool the bearing (freezer or ice spray). As soon as the bearing is mounted and has been heated by the hot casing, the layshaft can be inserted.

The permissible torque must be observed when subsequently fitting the two bearing seal plates.
Due to their design, the slender M6 stud bolts bend outwards if the tightening torque is too high, which can damage the casing.
A guide value of 4.7 - 5.2 Nm is specified for the four stud bolts.
